Sussex Recipe Swap and Competition

Welcome to the Sussex Slow Food Recipe Swap and Competition.  Everyone is invited to share their favourite recipes on the website, however simple or easy, which will be compiled into a database that will become a free community resource, helping everyone cook using local ingredients all year round. The best recipes will also stand a chance of winning our competition and being serve in a local restaurant.

If you like cooking, eating, using seasonal and local food, please submit your  tastiest souper_star_emdot_smallrecipes that use Sussex seasonal produce. Individual or group, you can enter a starter, main or dessert, or all three and as many recipes as you like. The Sussex Recipe Winners' Dinner will be held seasonally at the Gallery Restaurant, City College, Brighton, featuring the best fare of the season, followed by further competitions and dinners in the months to follow. The recipes will be published on the Swap and Competition website. A selection of recipes submitted for the competition will be published on the high profile SpectatorScoff! national food magazine website www.spectator.co.uk/scoff and on the Slow Food Brighton and Lewes site http://www.slowfoodbrightonandlewes.org.uk/

Prizes

There are a number of fabulous prizes, including the chance for one of the winning recipes to be featured on Due South's menu for a month. And the winner will receive a free meal for two there, to show off their efforts to a dinner partner. Named Best Seaside Restaurant in Britain by the Observer Food Monthly Magazine, Due South is a keen champion of seasonality, sourcing 85% of its menu from within a 35 mile radius. http://www.duesouth.co.uk/
